Lubricating greases: Preferred for low-speed operation (<600 rpm), intermittent duty cycles, or components with difficult access for regular oil replenishment.
Semi-fluid lubricants & open gear compounds: Mandatory for large, low-speed, heavily loaded open gear sets.
